The plan

The Honey-Do Plan, in full

Two hours a month, a list that never gets thrown away and a short list of things the plan doesn't touch.

  • The Honey-Do Plan

    Every month

One visit a month, up to two hours on site, working down your list. April and November start from a seasonal checklist.

    • One visit a month, up to two hours on site
    • A running list: text a photo any time and it goes on
    • April spring checklist and November winter checklist, inside the visit
    • A set day each month, booked ahead of one-off calls
    • Screws, anchors and caulk are in the visit; other materials at the receipt price
    • Permit work, roofing and anything above a 10-foot ladder
    • Electrical past swapping a fixture, switch or outlet cover
    • Plumbing past faucets, supply lines and toilet parts
    • Sanding or scraping paint in a home built before 1978
    • Unused time: it doesn't roll into next month

Billed monthly. Cancel by text or email any time; the plan ends after the visit already on the calendar.

It's a time plan, billed monthly, with no contract and no credit check. It isn't insurance and doesn't pay for things that break.

Plan year

What happens in which month

The visit is monthly. Some work only makes sense in one season, so it sits on the calendar where it belongs.

  • Your running list

Every month, in the order you pick.

    all year

  • Spring wake-up checklist

Caulk, hinges, handrails, screens and patches after the heating season.

    Apr

  • Smoke and CO alarm batteries

Swapped and tested twice a year.

    Apr, Nov

  • Furnace filter

Replaced in the spring and fall visits.

    Apr, Nov

  • Weatherstripping and door sweeps

Checked and replaced before the cold sets in.

    Oct-Nov

  • Spigots and hose bibs

    Shut off, drained and covered.

    Nov

  • Garage door auto-reverse

    Tested and the rollers oiled.

    Nov

Named exclusions

What the plan leaves to someone else

We'd rather tell you now than halfway through a visit. Each of these has someone better placed to do it.

  • Permit work

New circuits, walls, decks and anything the city wants to inspect. Call the city's permit office or a contractor.

  • Roofing and tall ladders

We stay off roofs and below a 10-foot ladder. A roofer or gutter crew takes the rest.

  • Electrical past a swap

Fixtures, switches and outlet covers, yes. New wiring or a panel needs a licensed electrician.

  • Plumbing past faucets

Faucets, supply lines and toilet parts, yes. Leaking drains, water heaters and gas lines need a licensed plumber.

  • Old paint in older homes

In a home built before 1978 we don't sand or scrape paint beyond a small touch-up. A certified firm does the rest.

  • Trees and lawns

Branches, stumps, sod and sprinklers belong to a landscaper or arborist.

The terms

Paying and canceling

The plan is billed monthly. There is no contract and no credit check.

Cancel by text or email

Send a message at any time. The plan ends after the visit already on the calendar, and nothing else is owed.

What it isn't

The plan is time on your list. It isn't insurance or a repair plan, and it doesn't pay to fix things that break. Materials beyond screws, anchors and caulk are billed at the price on the receipt.

About the plan

Can I change my day?

Yes. Text us by the Friday before and we'll move the visit to the next open day.

What if nothing is on my list this month?

Tell us, and we'll skip it. Nothing is billed for a skipped month, and the plan stays open.

Can a neighbor or a parent share a plan?

One plan is one address. A parent's house or a rental can have its own plan under your name.

Do you work while I'm at work?

If you're not home we need a key or a code and a text from you saying so. Many members are out during the visit.

Start with the first thing on your list

Text a photo or send the form. We'll set a first visit or a start date.
