Wall patches and touch-ups
Holes, dings and nail pops, gone
Doorknobs go through walls and nails pop in the first winter. We patch, tape, texture to match and touch up the paint you give us.
This is for small areas. A whole wall or a whole room is a painter's job, and a house built before 1978 has extra rules.

Good to know
What changes the time, and what we pass on
What changes the time
- Texture: smooth walls are quicker than orange peel or knockdown
- Whether you have the paint, and how old it is
- Whether a leak is still active behind the stain
Permits and rules
In a home built before 1978 the EPA's lead rule applies to paid work that disturbs painted surfaces. We stay under its minor-repair limits of 6 square feet inside and 20 outside, and we don't sand or scrape beyond that. Larger areas go to a certified firm.
Questions about this work
Will the patch match the texture?
On most walls, yes. We practice on scrap first and tell you if a match isn't possible.
Do you paint whole rooms?
No. Small touch-ups only. A painter takes whole walls and rooms.
My house was built before 1978. Can you patch a hole?
A small patch can stay under the EPA's minor-repair limits. We check the size first and tell you if it needs a certified firm.
Can you fix a water stain?
We can repair and paint over it once the leak is fixed. We don't repair the source unless it's a faucet or supply line.
