Assembly and fixtures
Out of the box and into the room
Flat-pack furniture takes an afternoon you'd rather have back. We assemble, anchor to the wall where it can tip and haul the boxes away.
We also swap light fixtures, ceiling fans and faucets one-for-one, with the power off at the breaker and the water shut off at the stop.
Bookcases, dressers, beds and desks
Fixtures and fans swapped one-for-one
Faucets and supply lines replaced
Packaging taken away

What changes the time, and what we pass on
What changes the time
- Whether the instructions are complete and the parts are all there
- Whether there is already a fan-rated box where a fan will hang
- Whether the shutoff valves under a sink still turn
Permits and rules
Electrical: we swap a fixture, a switch or an outlet cover and stop there. New wiring or a new box needs a licensed electrician. Plumbing: faucets, supply lines and toilet parts only; leaking drains, water heaters and gas lines go to a licensed plumber.
Questions about this work
Can you put in a new light where there isn't one?
No. That needs new wiring, which is for a licensed electrician.
Will you take the boxes?
Yes. We flatten the cardboard and take it with us.
What if the shutoff valve won't close?
We stop and tell you. A valve that fails needs a plumber.
Do you anchor furniture to the wall?
Yes, on request and on anything tall enough to tip over.
